During all new patient exams and routine exams we perform a thorough oral cancer exam in order to provide you with possible early detection. Some warning signs that we may look for are:
- A red, white or otherwise discolored patch or lump
- A sore that bleeds easily or does not heal in a timely manner
- An area that has a rough patch or has become thickened, raised or hardened.
If you have any of these symptoms or any other concerns, please let your dentist and hygienist aware at your next appointment. If you are not scheduled, please call and make an appointment.
